Expandermetall offers all types of mesh existing on the market, both mesh from our own production or directly from our cooperating partners who, like us, work with high quality products and good flexibility.

The expanded metal is defined by the long way of mesh (LWM) and short way of mesh (SWM), followed by strand width and sheet/strand thickness. This means that expanded metal with the product number XM4210/2010 has a mesh size of 42×10 mm and a strand of 2,0×1,0 mm. The length of the expanded metal can in most cases be without restrictions.

Carrying capacity and strand thickness

Expanded metal is comparatively lightweight and has a high carrying capacity. Therefore one can often select a thinner strand thickness of the original sheet than one would expect. The strand width can be varied steplessly according to what your finished product should look like. If you want a grid-like look, you should select a strand width close to the strand thickness. If you are rather looking for a gill-effect, you should select a larger strand width.
